PNG, JPG or WebP?
Compare image formats for photos, transparency and text, and learn what changes when you export PNG or JPG files in PicLever.
PNG: transparency and sharp graphics
Useful for transparency, text and graphics. Choose PNG to preserve transparency when splitting in PicLever. Photos can produce large files.
JPG: photos and smooth color changes
Commonly used for photos with smooth color changes. Repeated lossy re-encoding can reduce quality.
JPG does not support transparency, so PicLever fills transparent areas with white. Save a transparent logo as PNG if you plan to edit it again.
WebP: images for the web
A web image format supporting lossy and lossless compression and transparency. Check whether the destination service accepts it. PicLever reads still WebP images and can also export WebP. The image converter offers PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF, BMP and TIFF.
